Apra Heartland in Chicago!
Apra Heartland will be on the scene at PD26 and would like to help you connect with you. Apra Heartland always tries to be a fun and inclusive group at Apra PD, but sometimes it can be difficult to connect with one another at the event. In the past we have utilized an informal text group to let attendees connect with one another and this year we are going to be prepared. By registering and providing your phone number you agree to be a part of our text group and having it shared anonymously between the group. If you identify yourself in the text group, it won't be difficult for others to connect your phone number to your name. This text group will only be used to communicate between in-person and virtual attendees on the dates between August 8th and August 16th.
What the Text Group will be used for:
1.) Apra Heartland will let you know where we are and what we are up to at Apra PD.
2.) Anyone in the text group can utilize it to connect and invite others to social gatherings.
3.) Anyone can share photos and let everyone in the group know about anything interesting or relevant happening at the conference.
Some ground rules:
1.) While we can absolutely have fun in this text group, try to keep things somewhat professional. After all, it is a professional conference.
2.) Let's try to respect the quiet hours of 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. in case some do not have "sleep mode" set up on their phone.
3.) While we absolutely want you to use the text group to connect. After doing so, we encourage you to take the conversation outside of the text group to keep the chatter relevant to the group.
First Time at Apra PD?
While registering, let us know! Everyone has been through it and we want to make sure your first experience is an excellent one. While registering you can opt in to having one of our board members reach out to you about the conference and offer to show you the ropes so to speak.
